During the week of ‘Internet Safety Activities’ pupils and parents have been actively involved in becoming more aware of internet safety at school and at home. We hope that after this awareness the pupils use of the Internet became safer and more secure.

The classes of St. Mark’s Senior National School have been engaged in a workshop on Internet and Social Media Safety. Teachers and Parents have received good advice on what was best practice when using the Internet or Social Media in a school context.
The children of the fourth class from Lissivigeen National School in Killarney made four videos clips.

Prof. Giuseppe Lami from CNR of Pisa met classes and spoke about Internet Safety, cyberbullying and privacy.
On 11th December at IC Toniolo School in Pisa, Prof.Flavia Marzano, of the society “Wister” (Women for Intelligent and Smart Territories) spoke to teachers and parents about this important theme making them aware of the risks that a uncorrect use of the network can lead. Then the Lawyer Laura Antonelli, explained the legal risks of using badly and uncorrectly the social networks.
In Turin, students from Caduti di Cefalonia school watched the film “The Invisibile boy” by Salvatores and thought about teenager relationships and cyberbullying. They built up group works writing down their thoughts about the film themes in Italian, and a brief comment in English.
At IC Tommaseo several activities were organized: speaks, peer education lessons, a special meeting with the Polizia Postale in the framework of the national initiative “Una vita da social” and many other. All of them are documented with photos and videos collected in the Blendspace lessons below.
